I fell asleep in the breakroom during my lunchbreak today and woke up with frost bite. I had to go to Mungo's! I almost lost my ring finger! Then where would I wear my ring? I'm wearing it on a necklace now while my finger recovers! I'm also severely hampered, what with it being all wrapped up and all. It's ridiculous!
When I get in tomorrow, I'm punching you in the face, Cash. |

Yesterday, I accidentally said the F word. At home! Neville promptly informed me that it was a "very bad word" that I wasn't allowed to say, which I am proud of, but I'm still very disappointed in myself. I don't want to be a bad influence on the kids!
I blame this almost entirely on Rufus. |

Things have been so busy at the Auror department lately that I've hardly had time to think. I don't know what would come of the bakery if it weren't for Daria and Dora! So thank you two so much! Still, I think that I may need some more help. Is anyone looking for a job? Or does anyone know someone who is?
Also, Aurors, here's you menu for next week: Monday: Baked lemon pepper chicken, green beans, maccarroni and cheese, lemon apple cake for desert. Tuesday: Smoked pork chops, baby carrots, asparagus, blue berry pie. Wednesday: Steak, salad, stuffed baked potato, fruit salad. Thursday: Honey glazed ham, steamed squash, broccoli and cauliflower in cheese sauce, blackberry cobbler. Friday: Sliced turkey breast with apple and sage stuffing, mashed potatoes, chocolate ganache cake.
One galleon and twelve sickles per meal, or eight galleons for the whole week.
Also, earlier, one of the interns stepped on Princess's paw. We all had to run and hide from Rufus. Twenty minutes later a janitor found Topher, Kirsty, and I hiding in a broom closet. It was rather embarrassing, but better than being eaten alive, or whatever he would have done. When I came back, my chair was missing. I'm not sure if Rufus completely decimated it until nothing was left or if someone stole it in all the commotion (we have an alarming amount of theft at the Ministry). Either way, I doubt I'll get it back, so I just transfigured one of Frank's ferns into a chair. I guess I was still shook up, because it still has leaves.
Stop giving me that look, Frank, you have plenty more! |

Well, I think I've got to face facts. What with me going back to work at the Ministry, I just don't have time to run the bakery on my own anymore. I thought about only being open on select days, but that's such an inconvenience to customers! So I've decided to hire help. Daria is already working with me, though it's rather an inconvenience that she can't do magic, but I think I need more help. Is anyone looking for a job? Oh! And before I forget, Sirius! Dora talked to me about working some at the bakery, maybe running local deliveries or helping customers? I think it'd be good for her, and put a little extra money in her pocket, but I wanted to clear it with you first.
On another note, this is just a thought for now, but I've noticed no one in the Auror department eats well! Don't think I haven't seen you lot robbing the vending machines because I have. And anyway, six boxes of Bertie Bott's isn't a healthy meal. SO! Here's what I was thinking: at the beginning of the week, I decide a meal for each night of the week at a predetermined price. Everyone orders and prepays, and I bring in the meals around dinner time? This is only offered for dinner, once I'm already off, because I work too during breakfast and lunch! Is anyone interested?

So April Fool's day is coming up, and all I have to say is don't. I'm looking specifically at a certain Mr. Potter and Mr. Black.
Sales at the bakery have really been picking up lately. I don't know too much about economics, but I guess the economy does well when people are feeling optimistic.
Speaking of the bakery, since it's that time of the month, next week is chocolate week. Everything chocolate based is 25% off, and there will be plenty of it.
By the way, who's writing Moody's speeches? I know he isn't doing it. He's got all the people skills of a rabid dragon. |
